RunSpotter ("we", "our", or "us") is a mobile application that lets runners share their live location with trusted spotters during a run. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is handled.
We do not sell your personal data. Your location is shared only with the specific individuals you invite as spotters for a given run. We use Firebase (Google) for data storage and authentication. Firebase's privacy practices are described at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
RunSpotter requests background location access so your spotters can track your run even when the app is not in the foreground. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device Settings. Revoking background location will prevent spotters from seeing your position when the app is minimized.
Run history is stored until you delete it or your account. Live location data is not stored after a run ends — it is only streamed in real time to your spotters.
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below. We will fulfill deletion requests within 30 days.
RunSpotter is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
